The Cafec Tritan 27 Flower Dripper - Brewing coffee in style

Cafec Tritan 27 Flower Dripper

I recently got the chance to test the Cafec Tritan 27 Flower Dripper, and I was impressed right away. Not only does this brewer have a beautiful design, available in all sorts of fun colours, it's also built to let every coffee lover enjoy a great cup at home.

The maker's idea was to brew coffee the old-school way, with a filter like they used to – but in a modern jacket, sized for a single cup. Aesthetically, the Flower Dripper is a little gem. It looks great on any cup or carafe and genuinely adds something to the whole coffee experience. But however pretty it is, in the end it's about the coffee, right?

My first attempt at brewing with this dripper was, honestly, a bit of a letdown. I used water straight from the kettle and freshly ground coffee (!), but I hadn't thought about getting the right amount of coffee or water. The result? A weak cup, even though I'd picked a perfectly good blend (Doubleshot - Start).

After that experience I decided to do some research and hunt for the perfect “recipe” for brewing with the Flower Dripper. And eventually I found one that worked perfectly for me:

  • 200 ml hot water
  • 15 grams freshly ground coffee

The process is simple: pour the hot water slowly into the centre of the dripper, pause each time until the water has drawn down, and repeat until all the water has dripped through the coffee. The nice thing about this dripper is that it invites you to experiment. Want a fuller flavour? Try slightly less water or slightly more coffee.

What I love about the Cafec Tritan 27 Flower Dripper is how easily and quickly you can brew a lovely cup of coffee, even on a busy morning. The fun design is a bonus, and the fact that you can make your coffee at your own pace, without complicated steps, makes it even more appealing. And if you want to dress your coffee up a bit? Add a dollop of milk foam and you've got a genuinely barista-worthy creation.

Whether you're an experienced home brewer or just want to try something new, the Flower Dripper is a fun and functional addition to your coffee ritual.

Cheers to your next cup of coffee! Natasja
